Adult Fencing Classes
All Three Weapons
We offer adult classes at a convenient time in the evenings and Saturdays. We also encourage adults to take advantage of our open fencing times that are included in the membership.
You must complete an Intro Class or private lesson before you continue into one of the group classes listed below (Fencing For Fitness or Adult Group Fencing Class).
Equipment is provided, but what will I need?
Just wear comfortable clothing, preferably not jeans, and wear enclosed shoes, not clogs, Crocs, or sandals. Wear pants or on hot days please wear shorts that come to the knee with compression shorts underneath. Women may wear capri pants. Bring a water bottle, a towel, and perhaps an extra shirt for after class. Please bring a separate pair of shoes to wear onto the fencing floor so we can keep the surface free of mud. Don’t forget to prepare to have some fun learning something new!
Set these up with a coach by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our adults vary from recreational to competitive and we strive to provide the most individualized program possible for your success! You do not need to have completed an Intro to Fencing class before taking a private lesson. Sometimes private lessons are the best way for you to try and jump start your fencing. Bring a friend for a semi-private lesson!
Fencing For Fitness
This class will be a fun fitness class sprinkled with fencing. Fencing For Fitness includes warm ups, agility drills, footwork, and fencing that are centered around working out and having fun. This one-hour class is ideal for those that are looking for an alternative work out to the boring gym routine. We guarantee that you will end the night with 10,000 steps on your FitBit or Apple Watch.
Classes meet on Saturdays 12:30-1:30pm.
Group Fencing Class
Step One After Trial Program
This class is done in a more traditional style than the Fencing For Fitness class. The group fencing classes are focused around refining fencing techniques and understanding. The class includes a warm up, footwork, and bouting. There are opportunities in the area for adults to compete.
This class meets on Tuesdays 8-9:30pm, Wednesdays 6-7:30pm, and Saturdays 11-12:30pm.
